1999 - Fly - Dixie Chicks

25 Years Ago - 1999 Dixie Chicks (as they were known at the time) released their fifth album

Fly

It was a massive commercial success debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 which made them the first country group in history to debut there.

They won Best Country Duo/Group Performance (for  "Ready to Run") and Best Country Album Grammys.

All Chart positions are on the Country Chart unless notes.

"Ready to Run" #2 and #39 Hot 100.

"Cowboy Take Me Away" peaked at #1 and #27 Hot 100.

"Goodbye Earl" had Dennis Franz (as Earl) Lauren Holly, and Jane Krakowski in the Video. It peaked at #13 and #19 Hot 100.

"Cold Day in July" peaked at #10 and #65 Hot 100.

"Without You" was a #1 Country smash and #31 Hot 100.

"If I Fall You're Going Down with Me" made #3 and #38 Hot 100.

"Heartbreak Town" peaked at #23.

"Some Days You Gotta Dance" peaked at #7 and #55 Hot 100.

The album also features the great "Sin Wagon."
