1997 Pat Boone released a hard rock and heavy metal covers album In a Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy, complete with a leather vest and a twinkle in his eye for the cover photo. Covering artists like Judas Priest, AC/DC, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Metallica, even Guns N' Roses, it has since become somewhat popular as a joke gift to metal fans. The album made #125 on the Billboard 200.
