1993 - Debut - Björk

30 Years Ago - 1993 Björk released her debut album Debut.

Her first album after the dissolution of The Sugercubes it received critical acclaim in the UK. Typically, America didn't get it.

Five singles were released, and all charted in the UK.

"Human Behaviour" bubbled under at #9 but was a #2 Alternative and Club hit.

The song was inspired by David Attenborough documentaries and by the relation between humans and animals. Björk explained to Rolling Stone, talking about the inspiration for the song: "'Human Behaviour' is an animal's point of view on humans. And the animals are definitely supposed to win in the end."
