1991 Spin Doctors released their debut album Pocket Full of Kryptonite. Singles were "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" (#17 #2 Modern Rock), "Jimmy Olsen's Blues" (#78 #8 MR), and "Two Princes" (#7 #1 MR.)
Lead singer Chris Barron stated that "Little Miss.." was inspired by his relationship with his stepmother, despite popular belief that it was written about an ex-girlfriend. He described his stepmother as a "malignant narcissist".
