35 Years Ago - 1989 B-52's released their fifth album Cosmic Thing.
Produced by Nile Rodgers and Don Was, it was a smash.
"Channel Z" was the first single and was embraced by college radio and eventually hit #1 Alternative Airplay.
The title track made #7 Alternative Airplay.
"Love Shack" was the breakthrough peaking at #3, #1 Alternative Airplay, #7 Club. A young RuPaul is in the video.
"Deadbeat Club" made #30.
I would also point out that "Junebug" is on this album and is a great track.
