35 Years Ago - 1987 Tiffany released her self-titled debut album.
"Danny" was the first single released and was ignored. Tiffany embarked on a shopping mall tour entitled "The Beautiful You: Celebrating the Good Life Shopping Mall Tour '87". The tour included Tiffany performing in shopping malls across the United States; at first to small audiences but by the end, to much larger crowds as her popularity grew.
A cover version of Tommy James & the Shondells' song "I Think We're Alone Now" was the next single and went to #1. (#38 AC #26 Club.) Next was the ballad "Could've Been" again going #1 on the Hot 100 and also #1 AC.
A remake of The Beatles' "I Saw Him Standing There" was the third single and made #7. The final single "Feelings of Forever" only made #50.
