35 Years Ago 1987 Debbie Gibson released her debut album Out of the Blue.
While posing for the album cover, Gibson was told by the photographer that her knee was pulling focus; as a compromise, the makeup artist drew a face on her knee. This became a fashion trend among girls who attended her concerts.
The singles were "Only in My Dreams" (#4 #12 Club #31 AC), "Shake Your Love" (Paula Abdul choreographed the video) (#4 #6 Club), "Out of the Blue" (#3 #44 Club #16 AC), "Foolish Beat" made #1 Hot 100 giving Gibson the record for the youngest person to write, produce, and perform a number-one single entirely on her own, at age 17. (#8 AC), and "Staying Together" (#22.)
