35 Years Ago 1987 Midnight Oil released their sixth album Diesel and Dust.
It is a concept album about the struggles of Indigenous Australians and environmental causes. It was a six week #1 album in Australia, making #21 in America.
American singles were "The Dead Heat" (#53 #11 Top Album Tracks), "Beds are Burning" (#17 #6 Album Rock, #20 Club), and "Dreamworld" (#91 #94 Alternative #37 Mainstream Rock.)
