1987 - 35 Years Ago

1987 Richard Marx released his self-titled debut album. The singles were "Don't Mean Nothing" w/Joe Walsh on the guitar was the first single and made #3 but went #1 on the Album Rock Tracks chart. "Should've Known Better" was the next single with Fee Waybill from The Tubes on backing vocals (#3 #7 Rock). "Endless Summer Nights"

(#3 #2 AC), "Hold On to the Nights" (#1 #3 AC)

With the chart success of these singles, Marx became the first male artist to reach the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart with four singles from a debut album.
