1984 - Welcome to the Pleasuredome - Frankie Goes to Hollywood

40 Years Ago - 1984 Frankie Goes to Hollywood released their debut album Welcome to the Pleasuredome.

In America,

"Relax" made #10 and #20 Club.  The first official music video for "Relax", directed by Bernard Rose and set in an S&M themed gay nightclub at Wilton's music hall in London it featuring the bandmembers accosted by buff leathermen, a glamorous drag queen, and an obese admirer dressed up as a Roman emperor. There was another video..the one you most like know with the laser beams.

"Two Tribes" peaked at #43, #3 Club and #27 Mainstream Rock. Great remix on this!

"Welcome to the Pleasuredome" made #48 and #31 Club.

The album also featured remakes of Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run, and Ferry Cross the Mersey.

It was originally a double album.
