1984 - Victory (hardly) - The Jacksons

40 Years Ago - 1984 The Jacksons released their fifteenth album Victory.

The only album to include all six Jackson brothers together as an official group.

None of the songs from Victory were performed on the tour. (Great for promotion! But probably a good choice..this album isn’t the greatest.) Forget this album and go listen to Triumph from 1980.

"State of Shock" featured Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger, originally it was going to be Freddie Mercury but schedules made it difficult.

It peaked at #3, #4 R&B, and #3 Club.

"Torture" is actually torture to listen to and it peaked at #17, #9 Club, #12 R&B.

"Body" was DOA on arrival only peaking at #47, #39 R&B, #73 Club.
