1982 Survivor released their third album Eye of the Tiger. The title track was the theme song for Rocky III and went to #1 (#59 Club.) This became the theme song after Queen denied Sylvester Stalone use of "Another One Bites the Dust." It was also the #2 song of the year following Olivia Newton John's "Physical." Follow-up single "American Heartbeat" made #17. Interesting note, Daryl Dragon of Captain and Tennille is credited with some additional keyboards.
