1979 - I Am - Earth, Wind & Fire

45 Years Ago - 1979 Earth, Wind & Fire released their ninth album I Am.

"Boogie Wonderland" featured The Emotions and peaked at #6, #2 R&B, #14 Club. 

"After the Love Has Gone" won a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group and peaked at #2 Hot 100 and AC.

"In the Stone" made #58, #23 R&B.

"Star" peaked at #64, #47 AC.

Also a note, the intro of "In the Stone" (or was it the instrumental "Rock That"??) was used for the sign-on of my High School radio station WSCS. "We now begin or broadcast day....."
