1978 - Living in the U.S.A. - Linda Ronstadt

45 Years Ago - 1978 Linda Ronstadt released her ninth album Living in the U.S.A.

The album had four official singles and one that many stations played.

"Back in the U.S.A." a cover of the Chuck Berry song peaked at #16 (#30 AC, #41 Country)

"Ooh Baby Baby" a cover of the Smokey Robinson and the Miracles hit made #7 (#2 AC, #85 Country) Saxophonist David Sanborn plays on it.

"Just One Look" is a cover of the Doris Troy hit peaking on the Hot 100 at #44 but was a #5 AC hit.

"Love Me Tender" the Elvis song that was not an official single, was edited as a duet with the original version and played on many radio stations.

"Alison" an Elvis Costello song peaked at #30 on the AC chart. At the time Costello was critical of the version but said, "I didn't mind spending the money that she earned me"
