Bryan West, a 35-year-old journalist from Arizona who has just moved to Nashville to become the USAToday Taylor Swift reporter.

He says, “I would say this position’s no different than being a sports journalist who’s a fan of the home team, I just came from Phoenix, and all of the anchors there were wearing Diamondbacks gear; they want the Diamondbacks to win. I’m just a fan of Taylor and I have followed her her whole career.

But he is an award winning journalist.

It's that time of year again. It's darker earlier, and it's getting chillier. One thing we don't have to worry about up here is that we are going to be conked in the head with a falling iguana.

But Florida..watch out!

When it gets cold enough, iguanas become immobilized and freeze, leading the reptiles—which usually hang out in trees—to fall.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, iguanas slow down when the thermostat dips below 50 degrees. They “freeze” and fall when temperatures drop into the 40s and 30s.

Leave them be and they will revive when it's warmer.

Someone polled 1,000 Americans and 52% of us would NOT be willing to give up exercise for two years if it wiped out all our debt. Here are ten other things, and how many of us would give them up . . .

1. Your car for a year? 30% would do it to be debt-free.

2. Your phone for a year? 22% would ditch their phone.

3. Your PET for a year? Only 12% would do it.

4. No sex for a year? 56% would abstain.

5. Alcohol for TWO years? 73% said sure.

6. No traveling for two years? 70% would stay home.

7. No streaming for two years? 59% said sure. So we'd rather give up Netflix than give up exercise?

8. Amazon for LIFE? 42% would give it up to reset their debt.

9. Social media for life? 38% claim they'd do it.

10. Work 365 days in a row without a single day off? 35% of us would to do it to be debt-free. That's the only one that might ACTUALLY leave you debt-free.

There's an ongoing debate about yellow pillows on social media, and the responses really run the gamut. Some people consider yellow pillows GROSS . . . but some people find them ENDEARING.

It started when a guy said, "My girlfriend is mad at me because I've revealed to her 'The Yellow Pillow.' Fellas, I'm sure you all know that this thing is magic."

A yellowing pillow is a build-up of moisture from sweat, oil, lotions, and drool . . . even going to bed with wet hair can cause discoloration.

A yellow pillow may seem gross, but it isn't going to kill you. HOWEVER, experts say staining can trigger allergies if mildew or fungus are allowed to fester. The pillows can also develop an odor.

You can SLOW the yellowing by keeping pillowcases fresh and clean . . . and using pillow protectors. But they will always discolor over years of use.

Pillows are never the same after a washing. It's best to invest in new pillows every few years. (one of the worst shopping experiences ever.)

A new study found that there's a new gateway drug to be concerned about: COKE. Not cocaine . . . Coca-Cola. Researchers studied more than 2,000 kids between nine and ten years old . . . and discovered that those who drank caffeinated soda on a daily basis are TWICE as likely to admit to trying alcohol a year later.

The author of the study says one possible explanation is that the caffeine and sugar can induce effects on the brain, making that person "more sensitive to the reinforcing effects of harder drugs like alcohol."

Or, maybe kids who struggle to regulate their impulses may be more likely to try caffeine early on . . . leading to experimentation with harder drugs like alcohol as they get older.

Stephen King's novel "Cujo" is more than 40 years old. It was first published in 1981. And now, finally, there's a SEQUEL coming out in the spring. But it doesn't sound like another killer dog story.

In May, King is releasing a new short story collection called "You Like It Darker". And one of the stories in it is "Rattlesnakes".

It's about, quote, "a grieving widower [who] travels to Florida for respite and instead receives an unexpected inheritance . . . with major strings attached."

The widower in question is Vic Trenton. He's the father of Tad Trenton, who DIED after Cujo attacked him and his mother and trapped them in their car for several days.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Vikings didn't wear helmets with horns. It comes from a performance of Richard Wagner's opera "The Ring" in 1876. The costume designer made horned helmets for the Vikings in the show, and the image stuck.
