The day after Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year for ......plumbers. To the point where some call it "Brown Friday" and yes, it's for THAT reason. Partially.
(There's increased strain on pipes everywhere, not just the bathroom. Kitchen pipes get clogged when people pour grease, turkey drippings, and cooking oil down the drain. And kitchen disposals get overloaded.)
Yelp analyzed data on plumbing-related searches particularly for "emergency plumbing" and "24-hour plumbers" to come up with a list of the most clogged-up cities in America.
Here are the cities that could be the most vulnerable on Brown Friday:
1. Los Angeles
2. Miami
3. Nashville
4. Sacramento
5. Baltimore
6. Las Vegas
7. Minneapolis
8. Providence
9. San Francisco
10. San Diego

Black Friday is here. And if you've been waiting to do your holiday shopping, you're not alone.
A poll asked people what type of holiday shopper they are. The four choices were bargain hunter . . . early bird . . . last-minute . . . and year-round.
Bargain hunter snagged the top spot, and it wasn't very close. Here's what people said . . .
1. 40% are bargain hunters. You prioritize deals and promos like Black Friday.
2. 27% are early birds. They defined it as people who finish their shopping at least one month in advance.
3. 16% are last-minute shoppers. People who buy most of their gifts in the last few days.
4. 16% are year-round gatherers. People who spread it out and buy presents throughout the year.

Now that Thanksgiving is over we can get to thinking about…..New Years!
Got a New Year's resolution in mind yet? It's not even December, but we're already talking about why we WON'T follow through with them . . .
An early poll on New Year's resolutions found the easiest ones are "practicing better hygiene" and "drinking more water." Anything harder takes motivation. Here are the top five excuses for not following through with a resolution . . .
1. The cost. Like you say you'll join a gym, then realize it's expensive.
2. Too busy.
3. Not enough support from family or friends.
4. A general lack of motivation.
5. You don't see results right away and get discouraged.
75% of people claim they usually set a New Year's resolution. Another 12% said sometimes, but not always. And despite the excuses, we don't ALWAYS fail. 83% said they've had at least some success with a resolution before.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - "The Wizard of Oz" is 102 minutes long . . . but Margaret Hamilton, who played the Wicked Witch of the West, was only on-screen for 12 minutes.
