Roto-Rooter would like to remind America that Black Friday is also "BROWN FRIDAY" . . . the busiest day of the year for plumbers.

It's not a myth. They expect to get 50% more calls this Friday than average.

It's not only because our toilets will see a lot more punishment this weekend, but that's part of it. Roto-Rooter says the main culprits are clogged toilets, kitchen sinks, and also garbage disposals.

They say a lot of people just don't realize their plumbing is partially clogged until guests arrive. Then too many people can "overwhelm the system."

Here are a few tips to avoid an issue . . .

1. If you're hosting people, don't offer "flushable wipes." They're not really that flushable.

2. If you have lots of guests and your plumbing isn't great, ask them to wait 10 minutes between showers. It'll give the pipes more time to drain.

3. While you're cooking, don't pour fats or cooking oils down the drain. They can solidify inside your pipes and create clogs.

4. Don't put starchy things like potato peels in your garbage disposal, since they don't break down well. You should toss or compost them instead.

The Billboard Music Awards were held Sunday and records were broken!!

Morgan Wallen amassed 11 the greatest one-year total by any artist since Drake received 12 in 2019.

Taylor Swift won 10 BBMAs this year, bringing her career total to date to 39 – which puts her in a tie with Drake for the most of all time.

Swift won top artist for the third time, which puts her in a tie with Drake for the most wins in that category. Swift also won top Billboard 200 artist for a record-extending sixth time, and top female artist for a record-extending fifth time.

Lauren Daigle won top Christian artist for a record-extending fourth time.

An early holiday poll found the average American will go to "10 or more" gatherings this year. That includes things like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and big get-togethers with friends.

The poll found a lot of us do more than one Thanksgiving or Christmas now. So that's how it gets to "10 or more." And all that socializing WILL take its toll.

Over half of us start craving some "alone time" within four hours of being around our extended family. One in five said within an hour or two.

84% of us will travel for at least one holiday get-together this season. 52% expect to take more trips than last year.

All that traveling adds up, too. A separate survey found over a third of travelers will fly somewhere in the next two-and-a-half months. And by mid-January, the average family expects to spend $2,725 on travel alone.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - TV dinners are a result of Thanksgiving. Swanson invented them when they needed to use 260 tons of leftover turkey after Thanksgiving.
