A poll found 43% of Americans miss the chaos of Black Friday shopping.

But we do enjoy certain things about online shopping. According to the poll, the top three benefits are no lines, no covid risks, and not having to camp out overnight to get the best stuff.

Here are a few of the top things we enjoy about shopping in person on Black Friday . .

1. Instant gratification. No shipping, you get your stuff immediately. 46% agree.

2. A "better customer experience" than shopping online. 39% of people agreed with that.

3. Better deals when you shop in person. 37% agree.

For what it's worth, another poll this week found 32% of us plan to shop in stores on Black Friday, compared to 64% shopping online on Cyber Monday. But Black Friday is still more popular overall . . . 69% will also shop online that day.

Is it Dressing or Stuffing? Apple or Pumpkin Pie?

Google has compiled search trends surrounding Thanksgiving food.

The vast majority of the U.S. refers to the dish as “stuffing”, New England States more than any others. A pocket of southern states search instead for “Thanksgiving dressing”. There are specific stuffings if you delve into each state.

When it comes to turkey, only North Carolina and Louisiana are searching for Fried Turkey.

For dessert, Pumpkin Pie is the most searched, with the Northeast and upper midwest searching for Apple.

Just in time for A Christmas Story's sequel on HBO Max, the house from the 1983 Christmas classic is for sale. For about $189,000, the Cleveland home can be yours. And yes, it comes with the lamp. No word on the Bunny suit.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Congress almost passed a bill in 1910 to import a bunch of hippos from Africa to Louisiana . . . to raise them for MEAT. One newspaper editorial got all excited about it, and called the meat, quote, "lake cow bacon." But the bill failed.
