An employee at a museum in the Netherlands threw out two empty beer cans that were actually priceless pieces of modern art.
The hand-painted cans were made to look like two empty beer cans someone carelessly left behind. And they really DO look like that. They're part of a larger collection of cans titled, "All the Good Times We Spent Together".
The museum's elevator is all glass, and they were sitting on top of the glass ceiling.
An elevator repairman didn't realize they were an art exhibit, and thought someone just left them there. So he tossed them in the trash to help out.
The museum's curator noticed them missing. And luckily, the trash hadn't been sent to the dump yet. So they were able to find the cans and clean them up.
They say the museum bears no ill will toward the worker, who was just "doing his job in good faith." The museum director said that, "in a way, it's a testament to the effectiveness" of the artist's work.

An annual study by Investopedia found you now need to earn more than $4.4 MILLION in your life to achieve the "American dream."
If you work from 18 to 65, that's an AVERAGE of around $100,000 a year, which is way more than most people make. But they say it's achievable for couples with two incomes.
It all depends on what your definition of the American dream is though. And the one they used isn't the classic definition. It used to mean that if you worked hard enough, anyone could make it . . . buy a house . . . and leave their kids better off.
Investopedia's definition is more specific. Here are the eight things they factored in, and how they got to $4.4 million . . .
1. Retirement: $1.6 million saved to retire comfortably.
2. Owning a home: $930,000 over the course of your life.
3. Raising two kids: $832,000.
4. Owning new cars: $811,000. Not just any car, but NEW ones.
5. Annual vacations: $179,000. But not everyone vacations every year.
6. A big wedding: $44,000.
7. Having pets: $37,000.
8. Paying for your own funeral: $8,500.
If that all sounds excessive, their study last year was more modest and only looked at what you'd need to live comfortably. That number was still pretty high though . . . $3.4 million.

Cissy Houston, a two-time Grammy-winning soul and gospel artist who sang with Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, and other stars and was the mother of Whitney Houston, has died. She was 91.
She was part of a prominent backup group called The Sweet Inspirations who sang with many...including Van Morrison.
She recorded more than 600 songs throughout her career as a session singer.

A new poll asked over 30,000 people how they squeeze a tube of toothpaste . . . and 72% say from the bottom of the tube to the top, which makes sense.
20% of people say they squeeze the toothpaste out from the TOP of the tube, which doesn't make as much sense.
"How much toothpaste do you typically use?"
28% of people say they squeeze out about a full brush-length of toothpaste. That's the BRISTLES part, of course. 31% say a little less . . . about half the brush length. And 32% say less than that, about "the size of a pea."
And 4% of people are REALLY skimpy, using "an amount the size of a single grain of rice."

Just in time for Halloween, the makers of Airheads candy are releasing...no..not a new candy but a candy-scented foot spray.
It's called "Trick-or-Treat Smell My Feet." The can is shaped like a foot, and it's supposed to smell exactly like cherry-flavored Airheads.
They say it's for parents with smelly feet, who have to accompany their kids on Halloween this year. Their promo video says the average trick-or-treater walks 1.25 miles.
Since it's not something most people will ever actually want, you can't buy it. They're doing a limited run and giving them away through their website
