Lots of people complain about Gen Z . . . which is anyone born from around 1996 to 2012. But now they're doing it to themselves.
Someone on Reddit asked Gen Zers to name things they dislike about their own generation. Here are a few highlights . . .
1. Acting like bullying is outrageous, then just doing it online instead.
2. The, quote, "insatiable need for attention."
3. The dumb online trends, like the Tide Pod Challenge.
4. The cringy slang, like "cheugy," "slaps," and "OK boomer."
5. All the vaping, and then acting like there's no way it could be bad for you.
6. Getting offended by everything so easily.
7. Thinking the world can be changed by posting TikTok videos.

A man in Detroit went to a gas station early Tuesday, and ordered a pack of Swisher Sweets cigars . . . but when he lit up, he didn't like the smell. He thought it "had cologne on it."
He went to the clerk and tried to get his money back, but the clerk refused. The clerk said the guy was the one wearing cologne.
So the guy went outside . . . filled a bucket with gas . . . opened the door . . . dumped the gas inside . . . and lit the place on fire. (he should see about those anger issues.)
Fortunately, the clerk was able to escape, and no one was injured. The police have a suspect in custody, but they haven't released his name. And as you might expect, the gas station suffered a severe torching.

If you're taking a pill and want it to kick in faster, try lying on your RIGHT SIDE when you take it. It should hit your bloodstream a lot faster that way.
A new study at Johns Hopkins looked into it. In general, pills start to dissolve and absorb a little bit through the lining of your stomach. But it mostly happens through the lining of your intestines. So how fast they get there matters.
Our bodies aren't symmetrical down there. And it turns out the way you're lying, sitting, or standing makes a big difference when it comes to where the pills settle.
They end up the closest to your intestines when you're on your right side. Taking them while standing or sitting up straight is also okay . . . lying on your back isn't quite as good . . . and lying on your left side is by far the worst.
A pill might only take 10 minutes to start working if you're on your right side. But if you're standing, that same pill will take around 23 minutes to kick in.
And if you're on your left side, up to 1 hour and 40 minutes.
By the way, laying on your left side is good for keeping Heartburn and acid reflux down.

We've talked about the term "quiet quitting". That's where you don't really quit, you just do less and stop trying so hard. Now another term is trending: While you're busy quiet quitting, your boss might be "quiet firing" you. It's not a new trend, just a new name. Other terms for it include "constructive dismissal" and "managing out."
It's when your boss or manager doesn't like you, or wants you gone for whatever reason. But instead of firing you, they micromanage you . . . stop involving you . . . or use passive-aggressive tactics to make your life miserable until you quit.
Someone asked for real-world examples. Here are a few responses they got . . .
1. A person's manager used to slowly reduce the hours of people he didn't like until they were eventually never scheduled.
2. An assistant's desk got moved from an office to the corner of the copy room . . . and the office went to an intern.
3. A manager kept adding more and more to a woman's workload until it was overwhelming. But no one else got additional work.

Nichelle Nichols remains, along with a sample of her DNA, will be launched into space by a company called Celestis, on its appropriately named "Enterprise Flight". The rocket that's taking her up there is called Vulcan.
Three other "Star Trek" legends who are no longer with us will be on the flight too: Creator Gene Roddenberry, his wife Majel Barrett, and James Doohan, who played Scotty. The flight will take place sometime this year.
Nichelle played Lieutenant Uhura on the original series, and the subsequent movies. She also worked with NASA to recruit women and people of color.

Humans have the highest daytime visual acuity of any mammal, and among the highest of any animal overall . . . with the exception of some birds of prey. However, we have relatively poor night vision compared to other animals.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Haagen-Dazs was started by a couple in the Bronx . . . they made up the name using nonsense words that sounded foreign. But they sued ANOTHER ice cream company called Frusen Gladje in 1980 for using a foreign-sounding name.
Except "frusen gladje" actually means "frozen delight" in Swedish. So Haagen-Dazs lost.
