A new survey on America's top PHOBIAS found the top two are a fear of heights, and a fear of OTHER PEOPLE. "Social phobia" ranked second. It's another term for social anxiety.

They polled people in all 50 states. Here are the top phobias overall . . .

1. Acrophobia (akro-phobia) . . . the fear of heights. It's #1 in 20 different states including NY and PA.

2. Social phobia . . . the fear of social situations.

3. Arachnophobia . . . the fear of spiders.

4. Thanatophobia (than-uh-tuh-phobia) . . . the fear of death.

5. Trypanophobia (trip-an-uh-phobia) . . . the fear of needles.

6. Ophidiophobia (oh-fiddy-uh-phobia) . . . the fear of snakes.

7. Atychiphobia (uh-tick-uh-phobia) . . . an intense fear of failure.

8. Agoraphobia (uh-gore-uh-phobia) . . . the fear of open spaces. (It's #1 in New Mexico . . . and in America's smallest state, Rhode Island.)

9. Glossophobia (gloss-uh-phobia) . . . the fear of public speaking.

10. Trypophobia (trip-uh-phobia) . . . having "feelings of disgust or fear when you see patterns with lots of holes." Like in honeycombs or sponges. It's supposedly the top fear in Hawaii and Idaho.

This has been gaining steam the last few years, and there are strong opinions on both sides: Should we change Halloween, so it always falls on the last Saturday in October?

It would make trick-or-treating easier, especially on parents. And we already do it with other holidays. Thanksgiving is always the third Thursday in November. And Memorial Day is the last Monday in May.

The main argument against it is it's always been the 31st. So why change now?

Back in 2018, the Halloween & Costume Association launched a Change.org petition to make it happen. It's racked up over 150,000 signatures since then, so a lot of people are into the idea. But there's no actual plan in the works to do it.

The next Saturday Halloween is 2026, then 2037.

5. The Swan house from "Twilight": The home of Bella and her dad Charlie. Located in St. Helens, Oregon. $400 a night.

Do you shower before bed so that your hair can gently air dry while you sleep? Don't do that! An expert in hair and scalp health, said snoozing on wet hair can cause breakage and even promote bacterial growth.

If you must...

Use a Microfiber Hair towel to remove excess moisture.

Sleep in a loose braid or twisted bun

Use a silk or satin pillowcase

Consider a bonnet

Applying a leave-in conditioner or hair oil.

Daily Life Hacks says, When embarking on a wild adventure to the zoo, make a bold fashion choice—opt for the color yellow.

Why, you ask? Well, our animal friends might just thank you for it! Turns out, a lot of animals are color-blind, but not to yellow. It's like a VIP pass to catch their attention.

Lions, lemurs, and lizards will be able to spot your sunny hues, making you the star of the animal kingdom runway. So, next time you plan a zoo rendezvous, remember: Always wear yellow, and let the wildlife parade begin!

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - Necco Wafers have been around since 1847 . . . and there's always been the eight original flavors that exist today: Chocolate, cinnamon, clove, lemon, licorice, lime, orange, and wintergreen.

But according to old advertisements, there was once a NINTH flavor . . . peppermint. It's unclear why peppermint was dropped in the 1930s, but it could've been because, along with wintergreen, there was "too much" mint.
