They tell you not to feed the wildlife…and there is good reason!

A woman in Washington state called the police, when her property was invaded by more than 100 RACCOONS. She said she was terrified and had to escape to her car to get away from them.

The thing is, she was kinda asking for it. She admitted she's been feeding raccoons in the area for around 35 YEARS . . . but things have started getting out of control recently.

She said that around six weeks ago, the raccoons started surrounding her day and night, demanding food. And last week she called the police because they all started closing in on her, and she feared for her life.

She said she has tried to have them removed, but one specialist said they'd charge $500 per raccoon to trap and relocate them. Deputies referred her to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to help find a solution.

If visiting horror movie locations is part of your Halloween tradition, here are the 10 most popular, as determined by Google searches:

1. The Timberline Lodge. Mt. Hood, Oregon. From "The Shining".

2. Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco. Hardwick Township, New Jersey. From "Friday the 13th".

3. The Texas Chain Saw House. Kingsland, Texas. From "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre".

4. Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. From "Jaws".

5. Michael Myers' house. Pasadena, California. From "Halloween".

6. The Exorcist steps. Georgetown, Washington, D.C. From "The Exorcist".

7. The Exorcist House. Also in Georgetown, etc.

8. Buffalo Bill's house. Perryopolis, Pennsylvania. From "The Silence of the Lambs".

Green Day is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1994 album "Dookie" with the coolest re-release ever.

They're releasing "Demastered" versions of each song individually, each loaded into an outdated and extremely inconvenient piece of "tech".

"Burnout" is on a player piano roll.

"Having a Blast" is on a floppy disc.

"Chump" is on a Teddy Ruxpin.

"Longview" is on a doorbell.

"Welcome to Paradise" is on a Game Boy cartridge.

"Pulling Teeth" is on a toothbrush.

"Basket Case" is on a Big Mouth Billy Bass.

"She" is on a HitClip.

"Sassafras Roots" is on an 8-track tape.

"When I Come Around" is on a super old-school wax cylinder.

"Coming Clean" is on an X-ray record.

"Emenius Sleepus" is on an answering machine.

"In the End" is on MiniDisc.

"F.O.D." is on a Fisher Price record.

And "All By Myself" is on a music box.

Just to be clear, you can't stream these songs. You have to buy the actual physical media the songs are recorded on. Like, if you want to hear "Chump", you have to literally buy the Teddy Ruxpin and listen to the song through it.

Each song is only available in limited quantities, and you have to enter a drawing for the opportunity to purchase them. Mr. Ruxpin is the most expensive item, at $99. Some are as low as $19, like the floppy disc and the 8-track.

You can enter at DookieDemastered.com, but you only have until Friday.

The Reddit thread of interest today is people talking about "bad habits they're NOT willing to change."

Not surprising was that a lot of people's bad habits were things they consume: Sugar and sweets . . . soda . . . energy drinks . . . pizza . . . frozen pizza . . . binge eating . . . too much caffeine . . . drinking too much alcohol . . . and smoking way too much weed.

Other good ones were

Refusing to delete old emails.

Procrastinating.

Staying up way too late . . . "just scrolling through memes and cute cats."

Social media.

Ignoring text messages.

Taking a four-hour nap, and then not being able to sleep.

Hitting snooze about five times every morning.

Picking your nose. And biting your fingernails.

Chewing on your fingers.

Biting the inside of your mouth.

"Sucking my thumb." (Someone said they're 36, and they still occasionally do it in secret because it's a "self-soothing thing.")

Wasting too much time gaming.

Gambling.

Vaping. Or chewing tobacco.

"Twirling my mustache when I'm deep in thought."

Crocs are destroying your kid's feet!! They're the same kind of concerns about flip-flops or other awkward-fitting shoes.

A podiatrist who treats kids and teens says she's seeing issues that come from wearing Crocs all day, every day . . . "structural issues like heel and arch pain . . . [and] more hammertoes . . . because you have to grip the shoe to keep them on and so the toes are overworking." They also can lead to blisters.

Basically, they're fine for casual wear once in a while, but ONLY wearing Crocs can take a toll on feet, ankles, and even the rest of the body.

This time of year we see the pop up store Spirit Halloween appear. This year ten of those locations will switch over to "Spirit Christmas" stores featuring things like holiday inflatables and décor, apparel, stocking stuffers, plus photo-ops with Santa, a "life-sized gingerbread village," and some "letter-writing to the North Pole."

The 10 locations are only in the Northeastern U.S. for now, but it's a test, which can then expand across the country in future years if it works out.

The closest will be.....Albany. (There will also be one in Erie PA, so I might get to experience it when I visit my Mom, and maybe get some good after Xmas deals)

The company says, "Spirit Christmas is a new concept, and we're hopeful it will resonate with our customers. Our goal is to create a festive retail experience that captures the spirit of the season, much like we do for Halloween."

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - No matter HOW scrambled a Rubik's Cube is, there's a way to solve it within 20 moves.

(that's because when you hurl it against the wall and it breaks apart, you can put it back in the solved order.)
