Yesterday was "Blue Monday," the most depressing day of the year.

It's always the third Monday in January. It's been a thing ever since a travel company in the U.K. came up with it for an ad campaign in 2005.

It's based on a weird formula that's supposed to calculate how sad or depressing any given day might be.

It factors in things like bad weather . . . post-December stress . . . holiday debt . . . New Year's resolutions we've already failed at . . . and the fact that it's just a Monday in general.

Most experts have rejected the formula as not very scientific. And since weather factors in, it only works in the Northern Hemisphere. The researcher who came up with it claims the HAPPIEST day of the year is usually in mid-to-late June.

If you look at actual mental health stats, there's no proof today is any more depressing than an average day in January. But some of us do tend to have less pep in our step this time of year.

Cops in Savannah, Georgia posted a guy's mugshot on Friday, hoping someone might turn him in.

It was Friday the 13th, and his name is . . . MICHAEL MYERS.

To be clear, that's the villain in the "Halloween" movies, not "Friday the 13th". That's Jason Voorhees. People online think it's a fun coincidence though.

Also, the first "Halloween" came out just over 44 years ago . . . and the Michael Myers they're looking for happens to be 44 years old.

He's wanted for violating his probation. It's not clear if they've found him yet, but his mugshot is trending online.

A study published in the "Journal of Food Protection" found the spot in your kitchen that gets the germiest while you cook is . . . your spice jars and salt-and-pepper shakers.

Researchers had 370 people prepare the same meal . . . turkey patties and a salad. Once they were done, the team swabbed all the surfaces in their cooking space to look for bacteria from the turkey. And spice jars were where they found it the most often.

They found it 48% of the time, more than twice as often as every other surface. And there was more of it too. The only other spots that came close were the cutting board, and the lid of the trash can.

Basically, we don't always wash our hands well enough while we're cooking. And we use salt, pepper, and spices a lot, but never clean them. So if you want to be safe, wipe them down every once in a while.

The Peeps brand is celebrating its 70th anniversary by launching its Easter candy collection earlier than ever.

For 2023, the lineup includes returning fan favorites alongside all-new creations, including new Dr Pepper Flavored Peeps Chicks available exclusively at Walmart, and new Peeps Kettle Corn Flavored Marshmallow Chicks available only at Kroger Family of Stores.

Peeps is also teaming up with the Mike and Ike brand to create a vibrant and sweet Peeps Mike and Ike Flavored Pop. For the first time ever, this pop will include four different flavored Chicks including lemon, lime, orange, and strawberry.

Director James Cameron is very aware of the "Titanic" fan theory that says Leonardo DiCaprio's Jack could have survived icy waters by climbing onto the door with Kate Winslet's Rose.

There is a new National Geographic special "Titanic: 25 Years Later coming out February 5th and James Cameron addresses the controversy.

He didn't give the specifics of the "investigation" but did say that there is a misconception that she is on a door.

"It's, technically, not a door," Cameron said. "it's a piece of wood paneling from the first- class cabin."

You'll have to watch for the full details!

Football Playoff time is here, and the question is..do you have any rituals to help your team?

Research of 2,000 people who watch sport revealed 25 per cent will carry out unusual rituals ahead of a game to help improve their luck for a good result.

Kissed the badge or emblem of your team

Refused to wash for the duration of the tournament

Sat in the same ‘lucky’ spot to watch from home

Avoided watching the event with specific ‘unlucky’ people

A gender reveal party went viral after a woman forgot that her boyfriend was color-blind after the couple pulled confetti cannon.

The TikTok — which has gained nearly 2 million views — was posted early this month shows 23-year-old Jenna Cowan and her boyfriend pulling the cannon and pink confetti showering the pair it wasn’t until the boyfriend turns and asks “what is it” does Cowan realize her mistake.
