Study links cleaner air to more frequent hurricanes; a 50% decrease in particulate pollution led to a 33% increase in Atlantic storm formation over the past few decades.

Hurricanes need warm water — which is warmed by the air — for fuel and are harmed by wind shear, which changes in upper level winds that can decapitate storm tops. Cleaner air in the Atlantic and dirtier air in the Pacific, from pollution in China and India, mess with both of those.

Someone polled pet owners and asked them this question: If you could be your pet for a day, what's the first thing you'd do?

The #1 answer people gave was to just play all day and run around until they were exhausted. Sleeping all day was next and rounding out the top three was to get cozy and relax in their pet's favorite spot.

A third of pet owners said they wouldn't want to be their pet for a day.

Police in Belfast, Maine got a call Sunday night about a drunk guy at a motel called the Admiral Ocean Inn.

His name is Philip Dulude. They kicked him out and said they'd arrest him if he came back. But he didn't listen.

A cop swung by again around 12:40 A.M. to make sure he wasn't there. And he tried to hide from them . . . by draping a bedsheet over himself.

They found him sitting outside on a chair, fully covered by a white sheet.

They posted a photo on Facebook. He basically looks like a ghost who's just sort of lounging on the front porch.

They pulled the sheet off and arrested him. He's facing charges for trespassing and violating a condition of release.
