1991 Mariah Carey released her second album Emotions. Three commercial singles were released, the title track became Carey's fifth chart-topper on the Hot 100 making her the only artist in history to have their first five singles reach the chart's summit. (Also #1 Dance and R&B/Hip Hop) It was followed by "Can't Let Go" going to #2 because Columbia pulled the single so more people would buy the album keeping it from #1 (#2 R&B/HH #1 AC), and "Make It Happen" made #5 (#7 R&B/HH).
