35 Years Ago - 1987 Belinda Carlisle released her second album Heaven on Earth.
The US singles were "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" (#1 #7 AC), "I Get Weak" written by Diane Warren who had Stevie Nicks in mind (#2 #9 AC), "Circle in the Sand" with Thomas Dolby on keyboards (#7 #5 AC), and a cover of Cream's "I Feel Free" #88.
Some songs Carlisle recorded, but did not include on the album, are "Waiting for a Star to Fall" and "Some Hearts", which would become big hits for Boy Meets Girl and Carrie Underwood, respectively. Here are the demos.
