45 Years Ago - 1978 Donna Summer released her second double album, and first live album Live and More.
The live concert featured on the first three sides of this double album was recorded in the Universal Amphitheater, Los Angeles, California.
The "More" part was a new studio production called "MacArthur Park Suite" featuring "MacArthur Park", "One of a Kind", "Heaven Knows"
"MacArthur Park" was written by Jimmy Webb and was a hit for Richard Harris in 1968. (what the hell is it all about?)
Webb says that it was meant to be symbolic and referred to the end of a love affair. It was basically things he saw at this park.
"...Park" hit #1 on the Hot 100 and Club chart. #24 AC. It also topped the Club chart in 2013 in different remixes.
"Heaven Knows" with guest vocals from Brooklyn Dreams (she married Bruce Sudano from the group in 1980) peaked at #4 Hot 100 (#1 Club, #10 R&B.)
Here's just the single version of "Heaven Knows"
