1973 - Desperado - Eagles

50 Years Ago - 1973 Eagles released their second album Desperado.

The songs are based on the themes of the Old West. The band members are featured on the album's cover dressed like an outlaw gang; and it remains the only Eagles album where the band members appear on the front cover. (you're thinking about it right now.)

The first single "Tequila Sunrise" peaked at #64 (#26 AC). (WHAT??)

The second and final (yea..wait for it) single was "Outlaw Man" peaking at #59.

But wait...what about the title track. NOT RELEASED as..well anything.

According to an interview with Don Henley, "Desperado" was not a hit for the Eagles until Linda Ronstadt recorded it. (it was on the October 1973 release Don't Cry Now.)
